So far, Arsenal have had a mixed 2023/24. They let their advantage in the title race slip and have been knocked out of the Champions League within the last week. However, overall, they have had a good season and Mikel Arteta will have all the hope in the world about finishing the campaign on a strong note.

That said, the season has not been a success for every Arsenal player this season. Therefore, this article will address the eight Arsenal players who underachieved throughout 2023/24.

8 Arsenal players who underachieved in 2023/24

Quick disclaimer: Not every player will have underachieved through any fault of their own. This is not an article based on form, effort, output or anything of that nature. It is simply a list of players who expected better of themselves. Oh, it's in no particular order too.

1. Jurrien Timber

Timber is why I had to include the disclaimer. He makes this list through no fault of his own as he picked up an injury VERY early into the season (the first match, to be precise) which has seen him on the treatment table all season.

Timber did impress throughout preseason and he looks like an excellent player. Certainly, the Dutchman will feel like a new signing when he kicks on in the starting lineup next season.
