Arsenal injury updates vs Man City: Latest on Saka & Martinelli

Mikel Arteta will be hoping for a full cohort of players at his disposal when Arsenal travel to Manchester City on Sunday.
It's the biggest game of the Gunners' campaign thus far, with the victor seizing all the momentum in a mightily competitive three-horse title race. Should Arsenal win at the Etihad for the first time since 2015, many will back Arteta's side to win their maiden title in 20 years.
It's a seismic bout, one the Gunners folded in last season to all but end their title dreams. Arsenal currently sit atop the tree, with Sunday's bout only serving as the start of a hectic run-in.
The north Londoners do have plenty of injury concerns, however, and here's the latest on that front.

The only real question mark for Sunday is Martinelli. He has a chance to make the squad but may be on the bench.

Gabriel and Saka are expected to be available.
Bukayo Saka missed the reverse fixture due to injury, and there are some doubts about his status for Sunday's game. The winger has been through the wars again this season, and he turned up to England camp carrying a knock.
He was subsequently sent home, allowing some much-needed respite for the decisive encounter. As his muscle injury is only believed to be minor, it'd be a surprise if he wasn't included in Arteta's starting XI this weekend.
The same can't be said about Gabriel Martinelli, who's been out of action since picking up a foot injury at Sheffield United on 4 March. There are genuine concerns over whether he'll be fit on Sunday, with some Arsenal insiders suggesting there's a chance he makes the matchday squad.
Centre-back Gabriel should be fine as he spent the break nursing a foot injury of his own. There's no way he's missing the trip to Manchester.
In addition, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu took part in an emphatic behind-closed-doors defeat to QPR over the break. Both will be fine to feature this weekend but starting berths are unlikely. Jurrien Timber is also closing in on his return, but Arteta might aim to have the Dutchman back up to speed in time for the Champions League quarter-finals.
