Arsenal, Arteta 'Very sad' After UCL loss vs. Bayern Munich
Arsenal was dumped out of the Champions League, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich (3-2 on aggregate) in their quarter-final clash.

Arsenal saw its Champions League campaign come to a screeching halt at the hands of Bayern Munich, losing 1-0 at the Allianz Arena (3-2 on aggregate) in the second leg of its quarter-final clash.
It just wasn't meant to be. Arsenal saw its Champions League hopes go down in flames after a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich thanks to Joshua Kimmich's second half header.
The loss means Arsenal's Champions League dreams are over after losing 3-2 across the two legs, with boss Mikel Arteta giving insight into how the team is feeling after what was a poor performance.
“I’m obviously very sad," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "The dressing room is very disappointed. We had a lot of hope and invested a lot to go through, but the margins in this competition are super small, and we lacked to make the difference in those moments. We had our moments again. I think the team played with a lot of personality, but we lacked that magic moment at some stage or to force a mistake, because that happens as well to go through in the tie. We have to congratulate Bayern; they have done it, and they are through.”
Often in tight games like this, moments decide the outcome, and had Ben White's strike in the first leg when Arsenal was already 1-0 up gone in, or Gabriel Martinelli's effort in the first half at the Allianz Arena hit the net, things could have been different. But that's a lot of "ifs."

But in truth, the Gunners, especially in the second-half, didn't do enough to win the game as they appeared tired as the end of the season nears.
Having been so close, but failing by the smallest of margins, the Gunners must pick themselves up off the canvas as there is still a Premier League title to fight for.
With the league the only thing Arsenal can win now, all the attention must go into winning all remaining games and hope that Manchester City, who were also dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid, drop points along the way.
It was a tough night for Arsenal but putting it simply - they weren't good enough across the two legs and Bayern rightfully so, advance while the Gunners will go home and try to salvage something from this season.
