Arsenal signed winger Raheem Sterling late on Deadline Day.
It has taken awhile, but Arsenal finally has adequate cover for Bukayo Saka in the form of winger Raheem Sterling. After joining on loan, the former Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea star now takes his talents to north London with Mikel Arteta.
With the Gunners seemingly the only team capable of pushing City to the brink in the title race (maybe Liverpool, too), Arteta knew he needed for firepower and squad depth - enter Raheem.
Now wearing No. 30, Sterling will be looking to get off to the perfect start to his Gunners career and what better way than to perform at a high level against rivals Tottenham, which is Arsenal's next league match after the international break.
Arteta has already stated that the club will look to get Sterling "up to speed as quick as possible" which might suggest he could feature against Spurs.
With the Gunners stumbling against Brighton in their last league outing, getting back on track against Tottenham would be the perfect tonic.
And Sterling, perhaps scoring the winner, would cap off a "perfect" start for the winger at his new club.
