Bayern Munich need no introduction to Arsenal fans. In fact, the less said about the Bavaria club, the better. Having already beaten Arsenal in the Champions League last season, Bayern Munich are not finished with their Arsenal torment, as they would like to sign a player from them in the summer transfer window.

Well, not a first team player, but a youth prodigy who has not yet signed a professional contract with Arsenal. The idea is for Bayern to pip Arsenal to the post, potentially stealing a gem to be unearthed from Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal push to beat Bayern Munich to striker, says transfer expert

According to a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are likely aware of the interest from Bayern Munich in one of their best academy players. Therefore, they have offered an improved offer to Chido Obi-Martin to keep him at the club, with Mikel Arteta believed to be key to the project of keeping him.

Still, Chido Obi-Martin is considering all options for his career pathway. He will analyse any approach from Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund before deciding where is best-placed to achieve the stardom he is set out for.

Chido Obi-Martin is clearly a prudent player who has it drilled in his mind to be cautious about his future career. He has a good team of representatives around him who will help him to make the best decision for his career. While Arsenal fans will inevitably hope that Obi-Martin sticks with Arsenal, his prudence must be applauded. After all, it is rare for a young player to think so far ahead to the future.

Many Arsenal fans will have heard of Obi-Martin for his incredible scoring record in the youth ranks but he is certainly an up and coming goal-scorer to keep an eye on. He has every potential to score goals for fun at a high level, in a similar capacity to Erling Haaland. Hopefully, Arsenal are efficient in their project to keep him.
