The club who continues to haunt Arsenal is not giving North London any respite. In case you hadn't guessed, I am referring to Bayern Munich who time and time again humiliate the Gunners on the pitch. While this season's Champions League spectacle was a lot closer than the previous, it ended with a familiar conclusion - Bayern Munich progressing, with Arsenal sinking.
That said, Bayern Munich wish to get the better of Arsenal yet again. This time, though, it will be in the transfer window...
Bayern Munich want to pinch young Arsenal star from Mikel Arteta’s ranks
According to a report by Metro, Bayern Munich are showing "serious interest" in pinching Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal. In case you were not familiar with Obi-Martin, he is a 16-year-old prodigy who scored 32 goals in one youth season for Arsenal. Astonishingly, 10 of those goals came in one match, against Liverpool.
So, it is fair to say that Obi-Martin has a high ceiling. He is widely tipped to be the next successful member of the Arsenal academy, with previous graduates including Bukayo Saka and Cesc Fabregas.
James Goldman, publisher of the Metro report, does claim that Arsenal have made an offer to Chido Obi-Martin, in the hopes that he chooses Arsenal over Bayern Munich. However, more details about his decision are not due until he turns 17, as only then can he sign his first professional contract.

It is not only Bayern Munich who are showing interest in the Denmark striker, as Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and FC Copenhagen are also emerging as suitors in Europe. It is just that Bayern Munich have offered Obi-Martin an attractive deal.
Mikel Arteta is excellent at developing young players. Just looking at the terrific work he has carried out with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba is testament to his excellent man-management ability. If anybody is capable of bringing the best out of Obi-Martin, it's Arteta.
However, it must be said that Bayern Munich are a massive club, with great pedigree. With Vincent Kompany at the helm, it could be an attractive proposition for Obi-Martin to represent and develop at Bayern.
At this point in time, though, it is still up in the air. As mentioned, fans will only truly learn about Chido Obi-Martin's decision on his 17th birthday, when he is then capable of committing his future with his first professional contract. Hopefully he chooses Arsenal, like Ethan Nwaneri did.
