Arsenal did not sign a striker in the 2024 summer transfer window, despite many neutrals hounding Mikel Arteta for not "completing the puzzle." Nevertheless, Kai Havertz will continue to score goals from this position.

One striker who made the news throughout the summer transfer window is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. Despite being one of the best strikers in the game right now, Osimhen was going to struggle for game-time in Naples.

So, Victor Osimhen secured a move to Galatasary for the season ahead. Albeit only on loan, Osimhen has a great opportunity to hone his goal-scoring craft in the Süper Lig.

Arsenal were originally linked with the signing of Victor Osimhen. However, as mentioned, Mikel Arteta opted to go without a new striker addition.

However, Arsenal fans should not give up hope on their former transfer target, for they could have an opportunity in January.

According to a report from TEAMTALK, there is a clause in Victor Osimhen's loan contract which will allow him to leave in the January transfer window, to one of ten clubs. Among the ten clubs are Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

It remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal will change their mind about signing a striker come January. However, if they opt for Victor Osimhen, they can sign him for as little as £63.2m in January, says the report.

In 108 league appearances for Napoli, Victor Osimhen scored an impressive 65 goals. What is most impressive about the Nigeria international is his versatile goal-scoring approach, which allows him to score goals from many different angles and positions. In many ways, he is the perfect striker.

Osimhen is destined to leave Napoli. It is a broken relationship between the player and the club, which stems back to when the club openly mocked him on social media. It was not perceived as a light-hearted joke.

So far this season, Kai Havertz has scored two Premier League goals. This tally is only bettered by Erling Haaland, Luis Diaz, Noni Madueke, Bryan Mbuemo and Mohamed Salah.

Kai Havertz is emerging into a fan favourite and his confidence only appears to be growing week by week. If he keeps banging in goals for the North London club, it is difficult to put forward a case of Arsenal "needing to sign a new striker."
