Long time Arsenal target Victor Osimhen has revealed his desire to play in the Premier League before his career is finished.

Much of the talk this January has surrounded Arsenal signing an out-and-out striker to help alleviate the club's current scoring woes.

Such has been the woeful finishing of late; the team has lost three consecutive games and has slipped to fourth on the league table. Yuck.

While no top striker will likely be coming to north London now, soon, they might. Osimhen, whose been linked with the Gunners in the past and has also garnered interest from Chelsea, has stated his desire to play in England before he hangs up his boots.

"Of course one day, definitely but for now, I have other plans in my career that I am looking forward to," Osimhen said via Sky Sports on playing in England. "So when the time comes, everyone knows."

Arsenal fans hope that the striker, whose new contract at Napoli ends in 2026, might be looking at a career change in north London. While right now, it seems like a bridge too far given where we are in the season and Arsenal's financial restraints, come the summer things might be different.

Given Arsenal's firepower which includes Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard, the team have the least amount of goals scored among the top four.

The Gunners have scored 37 goals so far in the league, six less than leaders Liverpool.

Could Osimhen be the answer to Arsenal's goalscoring problems? Possibly, but while some think that seeing him in north London is a pipedream, his comments of one day seeing himself in England might just give Arsenal hope.

And at the end of the day, that's all fans need.
