Arsenal has pushed Manchester City all the way in the title race for the past two seasons, but is this the year they finally usurp Pep Guardiola's juggernaut?
So close, yet so far. That is perhaps the perfect description of Arsenal and its chase for Premier League glory over the last two seasons.
With Pep Guardiola's Manchester City being irrepressible as they have claimed the last four straight league titles and have won six out of the last seven, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal has been right there with the champs, only to fall agonizingly short.
But is this the year that the Gunners finally break through after being runner-up? Fans would sure love to think so but a lot would have to go right for Arsenal to overtake Pep's juggernaut and we aren't totally sure if the mental scars of the previous campaigns will have some sort of effect on Arteta's squad either.
It was a campaign to be proud of for @Arsenal 🙌

It certainly seems like nothing but perfection will halt City in their chase for a fifth consecutive title, but the Gunners have proved they have the staying power over the last two seasons with only a critical slip-up here and there costing them the title.
Now, as the Gunners have gotten off to a great start to their league campaign by dispatching a stubborn Wolves side 2-0, the foot must be firmly planted on the accelerator.
We know what to expect from City in the marathon that is the English Premier League and Arsenal knows the assignment.
Will it really be third time lucky for Arsenal as it aims to clinch its first title since 2004?
