Considering Leandro Trossard was a backup option for Arsenal and he joined midway through the 2022/23 season, he has emerged into an excellent signing under Mikel Arteta.

The Belgian international has come up with some huge moments for Arsenal, including when he scored late on against Manchester City, leading to the Community Shield win. He is proving to be a big game player with goals against Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool already. Furthermore, he's been one of the stars of the Champions League this season. An excellent pick-up.

1. Declan Rice

Declan Rice tops this list as the best Arsenal transfer of 2023. He was signed in the summer, fresh after winning the Europa Conference League with West Ham as their captain.

He is the most expensive player in Arsenal history but already, it's clear to see why the Gunners spent the big bucks for him. He is the first name on the team-sheet and more often than not, the best player on the pitch. The way he dictates play in the midfield and the amount of ground he covers is second to none. Truly, a transformative signing for Arsenal.
