Arsenal transfer news - Mikel Arteta keen to sign Jorrel Hato
Jorrel Hato is viewed as one of the most exciting upcoming players in Europe. The 17-year-old has been making serious strides towards stardom and has been in the Ajax starting eleven 100% of the time this season, according to Transfermarkt. Therefore, it's no surprise that Arsenal are keen to sign him this summer.
However, Evening Standard has claimed that Ajax will push for Hato to sign a new contract. He is an important player for them, and they would like to extend his stay in Amsterdam for as long as possible.
It's worth noting that Hato played with Jurrien Timber last season. The two already have an understanding and given how well Timber's arrival was received at the Emirates Stadium, this could psychologically persuade Hato to make the same jump Timber did.
Arsenal transfer news - Stan Kroenke offers new contract to Mikel Arteta
According to Sport, Barcelona would like to bring in Mikel Arteta as manager. This is to be expected, since he is the logical next-step when Xavi leaves the club come the end of the season.
However, the most interesting thing in the report is that Stan Kroenke has tabled an offer to keep Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. Since the Spaniard is the best manager at the club post-Wenger, it's no surprise that the board are favouring him over anyone else. Arteta clearly has a long-term strategy in North London, so fans hope he'll stay.
Arsenal transfer news - Mykhaylo Mudryk... Seriously?
Yep, believe it or not, Arsenal have been linked to Mykhaylo Mudryk.
After the Gunners spent the entirety of January 2023 linked with the Ukraine international, he ended up joining Chelsea. Since he joined, he has undoubtedly regretted his decision as he has fallen further and further out-of-favour.
While the Gunners may chuckle at his demise, Fichajes has claimed that Arteta is still an advocate and he could taker advantage of a cut-price Mudryk deal.
Personally, I'd take this report with a pinch of salt. It would be a bizarre move for Arsenal to sign Mudryk, even if he were available for half of his price. He has proven he's not cut out for the Premier League already.
