RB - Héctor Bellerín (player for Real Betis)
Signing for the Arsenal academy in 2011, Héctor Bellerín immensely benefitted from the mentorship of Arsene Wenger. He was promoted to the senior team in 2013 and spent nine years representing the first team. In 2022, Bellerín was returned to his boyhood club FC Barcelona but now he represents Real Betis, ageing at 29 years old as of March, 2024.
CB - Rob Holding (player for Crystal Palace)
Rob Holding was signed as a youngster by Arsene Wenger and fittingly, the former Bolton Wanderers prodigy played in Arsene Wenger's final game as Arsenal boss. Since 2023, Rob Holding has remained in London, currently representing Crystal Palace. However, it is fair to say that he hardly gets a look-in at Selhurst Park these days.
CB - Shkodran Mustafi (free agent)
The memory of Shkodran Mustafi does not fill Arsenal fans with joy. In fact, he is known as one of the worst transfers in the club's history. He represented Arsenal for five horrendous years, before being sold to Schalke in 2021 as part of the Mikel Arteta rebuild. As of 2024, Shkodran Mustafi is a free agent, currently on the lookout for a new club.
LB - Sead Kolašinac (player for Atalanta)
The Bosnian full-back Sead Kolašinac was known mostly for his brute strength. He was a colossal powerhouse who was surprisingly fast, making him a menace in the final third. He was signed by Arsene Wenger in 2017 and stayed with the club for five years before being sold to Marseille in 2022. He spent a year in Ligue 1 before taking on the Serie A, where he now represents Atalanta.
