Arsenal have not been the most active in the summer transfer window. They strengthened in positions which needed strengthening by signing David Raya, Tommy Setford and Riccardo Calafiori. However, considering Raya was already at Arsenal on loan last season and Setford is not due to be in the first team anytime soon, Arsenal fans are slightly underwhelmed.

But still, Arsenal got off to the best start in the Premier League over the weekend. They secured a comfortable 2-0 win, with their brilliant attackers stealing the show (albeit, they were helped by David Raya's heroics and a strong defensive core). Kai Havertz got the first goal of the season and Bukayo Saka unsurprisingly netted the result-securer.

So, the question is now up in the air - Do Arsenal really need to sign any more players?

Well, Gary Lineker thinks that Arsenal should sign Ivan Toney from Brentford. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, the Tottenham legend thinks that to boost their title hopes, Arsenal need to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford.

In his own words, Lineker said: "I think [Toney's] super talented and gives you a completely different from what else they’ve got. He’s a real threat and technically a really good footballer so I think he would fit in at Arsenal. Once you’re at the stage where a player is left out, the writing does appear to be on the wall."

Gary Lineker is referring to Ivan Toney being left out of the Brentford squad when they faced Crystal Palace on the opening weekend. The belief is that he could be on the way to Saudi Arabia, but the English punditry team who have taken the podcasting world by storm believe that he should be handed a route to staying in England, at Arsenal.

However, Arsenal do not have any plans or ambition to sign a striker before the summer transfer window ends. In fact, Mikel Arteta appears to have made his final decision that he is happy with his striker options, even if Eddie Nketiah leaves before the transfer window ends. So, I do not see any necessity to throw sticks into the Ivan Toney fire. If Arsenal wanted to sign him, they would have by now.

Do you think Arsenal should sign Ivan Toney or any other striker before the summer transfer window ends?
