Arsenal have to navigate a tricky Premier League fixture before they fly to the French capital for their most significant night out of the 2024/25 season.

Bournemouth are coming to town on Saturday evening, with the Gunners still in need of a couple of points to ensure their spot in Europe's premier club competition for 2025/26.

Mikel Arteta thus has a bit of a selection dilemma with a visit to Parc des Princes around the corner. Does he make wholesale changes and rest his key men for Wednesday's second leg, or will he opt to keep his starters fresh?

I think it will be a bit of both - @footballcliches.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - The boss may well make changes, but he will not be making a switch between the sticks. Raya's still alive in the hunt for the Golden Glove.

Ben White (RB) - Jurrien Timber was a little bit worse for wear at the end of Tuesday's game and should get the evening off on Saturday. White is a sure bet to start at right-back against the Cherries.

William Saliba (CB) - Arteta hasn't got much choice but to play Saliba again. The Frenchman has enjoyed a prolonged run in the team.

Jakub Kiwior (CB) - The same goes for Kiwior, who continues to look assured alongside Wilo. The Pole will see plenty of Evanilson, who's available for the visitors after his suspension was rescinded by the FA.

Kieran Tierney (LB) - Riccardo Calafiori is on the comeback trail and may well be in Saturday's squad, but Tierney should get the nod at left-back. The Scot has been bright on his recent appearances ahead of a summer departure.

Midfielders

Thomas Partey (DM) - Partey's absence was significant in the week, and he should get an hour under his belt here ahead of the return leg, where he'll play a huge role at the base of Arsenal's midfield.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (CM) - Zinchenko's career in north London is seemingly winding down, but I've enjoyed watching the slick Ukrainian in the middle of the park as of late. I will enjoy him again on Saturday.

Ethan Nwaneri (CM) - Martin Odegaard's coming under fire, but I have no doubt that he'll be in the team on Wednesday. Let's see what the kid can do here!

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - I think the boss should give Saka a run-out here. We need the points. Let's hope Milos Kerkez isn't in a Leif Davis-like mood.

Mikel Merino (ST) - Merino was among the better performers on Tuesday, and he'll be up top in Paris. With few alternatives at Arteta's disposal, the Spaniard is likely to start against rumoured transfer target Dean Huijsen.

Leandro Trossard (LW) - Trossard could find himself out of the team in Paris, so it makes sense for him to remain in the side on Saturday. Much of his good work in the first leg came when he drifted out to the left flank.
