Arsenal are hoping to book an appointment with Dr Chelsea on Sunday afternoon as they visit Stamford Bridge knowing that only three points will do.

The Gunners have won just two of their previous six in all competitions and risk falling into the bottom half of the Premier League table with a defeat here.

Mikel Arteta has remained assured and assertive amid a tough run of form, but there's no doubt that he'll be feeling the pressure should his side fail to claim victory on Sunday against a side they haven't been beaten by since Thomas Tuchel was in charge.

The boss has supplied injury updates in his pre-match presser, and here's the team he could pick for the weekend's trip to Chelsea.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - He may have been breached on Wednesday, but Raya had to do very little at the San Siro. The Spaniard is bound to be tested in west London, especially if Cole Palmer is fit enough to start.

Ben White (RB) - Arsenal's availability at full-back means the current starters pick themselves. White was back in the XI on Wednesday, and he should retain his place. White enjoyed a productive night in the final third the last time these two sides met.

William Saliba (CB) - Saliba will duel the ever-improving channel-running menace Nicolas Jackson on Sunday. The Chelsea striker will aim to drag the French international here, there, and everywhere in a bid to compromise Arsenal's defensive structure.

Gabriel (CB) - The Brazilian performed well alongside his partner in midweek, and he will be tested by Maresca's right-back gimmick which could see Malo Gusto/Reece James occupy a very advanced position in the right half-space. Gabriel should be aggressive in shunning this threat.

Jurrien Timber (LB) - There are drawbacks to deploying Timber on his 'weaker' flank, but the Dutchman continues to professionally go about his work. He'll likely face up against Noni Madueke at the Bridge.

Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) - Partey will not play for Ghana this month, but he's not an injury concern for Sunday's game. He's been excellent as of late, and he'll undoubtedly retain his place.

Declan Rice (CM) - The England international is reportedly dealing with a broken toe, and Arteta was fairly cautious when discussing his status for Sunday's game. The boss typically keeps his cards close to his chest in regards to player availability, though, and there have been reports of Rice being prepared to play through the pain.

Mikel Merino (CM) - The boss suggested Merino wasn't 100% heading into Wednesday's game which played a role in his half-time withdrawal. I don't think Martin Odegaard will be back in the XI just yet, and Leandro Trossard surely can't keep his place, opening the door for the summer arrival. This trio worked really well at Bournemouth!

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - I'm sure supporters, especially those who dabble in online discourse, would love nothing more than for Saka to dominate on Cole Palmer's patch this weekend. He's been shut out in the past two games.

Kai Havertz (ST) - He's a big, brave boy. That cut won't deter him against his former club.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - We need more from Martinelli, no doubt. With teams focussing their efforts on shunning Saka down the right, the Brazilian is getting plenty of opportunities one-on-one. He's got toe start winning his individual duel.
