The first time was so nice, we had to do it twice.
Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be hoping for a similar outcome when they face Crystal Palace for the second time in four days on Saturday evening. The Gunners booked their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, where they'll face Newcastle over two legs, with a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Wednesday.
An insipid first half showing was buoyed by the club's heavy hitters but it was a fading star who lit up the Emirates in midweek to seal Arsenal's place in the last four.
Wednesday's hat-trick hero has surely done enough to retain his place in the XI. Here's how Arteta could set his Arsenal side up at Selhurst Park as the Gunners aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League.
Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Crystal Palace
Goalkeeper & Defenders
David Raya (GK) - Raya was barely active on Wednesday yet conceded twice. Should we have concerns? Arsenal have been conceding from almost every shot they faced in recent outings.
Jurrien Timber (RB) - Heavy workload, but Timber is holding up. The Dutchman aided Arsenal's right-hand side dynamics when moved to right-back on Wednesday, and that's where he'll start this weekend.
William Saliba (CB) - Saliba helped steady the ship last time out, entering the fray after half-time. Jean-Philippe Mateta was a bystander while his compatriot was on the field.
Gabriel (CB) - We could do with less Jakub Kiwior and plenty of Gabriel from this point on. The Brazilian got a bit of a breather in the week and will be fresh for a long ball barrage this weekend.
Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - He's back! Arteta confirmed in his pre-match presser that the Italian will be available on Saturday after a couple of weeks out due to a groin injury. I suspect he'll return immediately to the starting XI.
Midfielders
Thomas Partey (DM) - He may have been taken off at half-time on Wednesday with Arteta having one eye on Saturday's game. It also wasn't working for him at right-back. Let's get him back into the middle of the park, eh?
Declan Rice (CM) - Rice was surely just preserved in the week. I'd be surprised if his niggle kept him out again.
Martin Odegaard (CM) - The skipper helped turn the tide against the Eagles on Wednesday, with his influence in a deeper position being distinct. Let's see where he operates from on Saturday in a bid to disrupt Palace's midfield pivot.
Forwards
Bukayo Saka (RW) - His entrance was also key to Arsenal's second-half revival at the Emirates, and there's no doubt Saka will be back in the XI despite Raheem Sterling offering glimpses in the cup.
Kai Havertz (ST) - Arteta typically doesn't go into Premier League games without Havertz leading the line. After earning a midweek rest, the German is poised to return up top after a barren domestic run.
Gabriel Jesus (LW) - He may not get the nod up top, but Arteta simply has to give Jesus the chance to build on Wednesday's momentum. The Brazilian has started wide left for the Gunners before, and I'm sure he'll see plenty of Trevoh Chalaboh again on Saturday.
