Arsenal are now Premier League champions, but will still need to strengthen if they are to retain their title. Also, after coming so close to winning the Champions League, Mikel Arteta's side now has the ambition of going one better in that tournament.
If the Gunners are to sign more players this summer, this could lead to many youngsters not getting a chance. Many academy graduates will leave. However, these three players will be expected to be at the club for the long term.
Predicting the 3 Arsenal youngsters who will still be here in 2030
Myles Lewis-Skelly
Myles Lewis-Skelly proved himself to be a versatile option for the Gunners this season, playing as both a left-back and in defensive midfield. He played CDM in some important games, including the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Overall, Lewis-Skelly would have wanted more game time as he played in just 20 Premier League matches. The Gunners have Riccardo Calafiori ahead of him in the left-back position. However, at 19, Lewis-Skelly is five years younger than the Italian.
Lewis-Skelly definitely has the character to be at Arsenal long-term. We saw this when he mimicked Erling Haaland's meditating celebration after scoring against Manchester City. The Gunners and City are set to battle it out for more Premier League titles, so Arteta will need players like Lewis-Skelly around.
The left-back was linked with West Ham United last season, but will not be going there due to their relegation. More recently, there have been rumors of a move to Manchester United. However, the Gunners would not want to sell to a rival.
Ethan Nwaneri
Ethan Nwaneri is coming off the back of a disappointing loan spell at Olympique Marseille. He made just nine Ligue 1 appearances, scoring twice and making one assist. The player was then left on the bench for their final four games of the season.
However, Nwaneri is only 19 and can bounce back from this. Before his loan to Marseille, he had already played 34 times in the Premier League, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Nwaneri has a difficult task of breaking into Arsenal's lineup as he is competing directly with Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze for an attacking midfield role. However, he can also play on the wing and as a center-forward.
The England Under-21 player is contracted to Arsenal until 2030, but is being linked with Borussia Dortmund. The German side has a track record of developing young English players before moving them on. Therefore, a loan to Dortmund would make more sense than a permanent transfer.
Max Dowman
Max Dowman burst onto the scene last season when he became the youngest goalscorer in a Premier League match. He was just 16 and 73 days old when he secured Arsenal's 2-0 win over Everton with a goal in added time.
Dowman has now played 13 times for Arsenal's first team, and big things are expected from him. Of course, it will be difficult for a player of such a young age to live up to the hype around him. However, he has a very good manager in Arteta who can keep his feet on the ground.
The winger already has a Premier League title to his name, so the sky is the limit for the England U19 international. There was talk of him going to the World Cup with Thomas Tuchel's side. However, that would have been like when to the 2006 tournament as a 17-year-old. Walcott did not play, and it would have been better for Sven-Göran Eriksson to have brought Jermain Defoe instead. Dowman will no doubt become an England first-team regular in the future.
