If there was one thing which has stood out for Arsenal so far this season, it's been their impressive set-piece routine. Often highlighted in this transformation is set piece coach Nicolas Jover, and it's an element of Arsenal's game which Luis Enrique and PSG must brace for tonight.
In the quarter-final, Arsenal scored two set-piece goals. Of course, there were moments of individual brilliance from Declan Rice, which can be rendered anomalous, but there's no saying that this set-piece success can't be replicated from a corner or indirect free kick... It is difficult to predict exactly how this match will pan out. It's one of those games which, frankly, anybody could win. And that's not an overstatement, it really is tight between Arsenal and PSG right now.
However, it's not a ridiculous statement to think that set pieces will play a key role in the match tonight. With Arsenal being the experts and PSG seemingly not preparing for them, it could be an avenue for Arsenal to exploit.
Arsenal will take the goals from wherever they get them. Whether they're from open play or set pieces, fair or unfair, stylistic or fluke, Mikel Arteta will be a happy man if Arsenal can get the win against his former club.
