Viktor Gyokeres is set to undergo a medical on Saturday ahead of signing for Arsenal, according to multiple reports.
The Gunners agreed a deal to sign the Swede earlier in the week and after a total agreement was reached, he has been given permission by current club Sporting to fly to London to complete the necessary proceedings ahead of confirming his move.
Once he has had his medical, Gyokeres is expected to fly to Singapore to join up with his soon-to-be new teammates and become part of Arsenal's pre-season tour.

The Athletic's David Ornstein revealed on Friday that a total agreement had been reached for the deal, meaning Gyokeres was granted permission to travel to London to undergo his medical ahead of completing his long-awaited move to Arsenal.
Both Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs have shared footage provided by Gyokeres' agency HCM Sports Management of the striker boarding a plane, seemingly confirming he is en route to the English capital to complete his move to the Gunners.
Jacobs reported yesterday that the plan is for the Swede to travel to Singapore with Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta once he has completed his medical, allowing him to join up with his new side for their pre-season tour. Arsenal defeated AC Milan earlier this week and are set to play Newcastle on Sunday, but Gyokeres could have a chance to make his debut against Tottenham on 31 July.
Gyokeres joining the Gunners' tour would suit Mikel Arteta's desire for his new signing perfectly. Speaking in a press conference earlier today, the Spaniard confirmed he was keen for any fresh additions to integrate with the squad as quickly as possible. However, he did not comment on the reported agreement to sign the striker.
It will be great for him to fly out to Asia and join his new teammates. Despite being a brilliant player, he will need some time to adapt to a different club and playing style and the sooner that is done, the better.
After a lengthy and nail-biting transfer saga, Arsenal fans can finally be excited that Gyokeres is set to sign for the club. He is so close to completing the highly anticipated move and once he has completed his medical, it shouldn't be long until supporters see him donning the famous red and white. It's finally so close.
