Arsenal have one foot in the EFL Cup final after defeating Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their semi-final tie. The Gunners have a good chance of winning more than just a domestic cup competition this season as they are currently top of both the Premier League and the Champions League.
William Saliba has been at Arsenal since 2019, when he joined from Saint-Étienne. He has had loans back to Saint-Étienne, Nice, and Marseille, but he only has two Community Shield winners' medals to his name with Arsenal.
Saliba will be growing frustrated at the lack of silverware in his career so far. He has also been a runner-up at the World Cup in 2022, when his France side lost to Argentina. The 24-year-old's Saint-Étienne team also lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020 Coupe de France final. However, Saliba did not feature in either of the finals.
The defender is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world and has voiced his frustration about the situation with Arsenal right now. Saliba told CBS Sports Golazo, "We want to win everything. I am tired of finishing the season without anything in my pocket. Now we have four competitions to win. My pocket was empty last year."
"We'll give everything on the pitch to win every title."

Will William Saliba finally pick up some major silverware this season?
There will be concerns about Arsenal bottling the league again this season, as they have been runners-up in the last three seasons. However, they are leading the Premier League by six points. The Gunners did drop points in their last game in the division, a disappointing 0-0 draw with Liverpool. This has meant that Manchester City are still hot on their heels; there are sure to be more twists and turns between now and the end of the season.
The Gunners are also top of the Champions League with a perfect record of six wins from six games so far. However, this will be meaningless if Mikel Arteta's side does not perform in the knockout stages.
In the next round of the FA Cup, the Gunners face Wigan Athletic of League One. This is a good draw for Arteta as he should be able to rest many of his top players in this fixture. Should Arsenal progress in the EFL Cup, then they will likely face City in the final. Pep Guardiola's side are currently 2-0 up on Newcastle United going into the second leg of their tie.
