Arsenal will undoubtedly be spending the summer looking for an adequate striker, which shouldn’t be too hard with how uncensored Alexandre Lacazette is.

Arsenal always has copious amounts of transfer rumors to contend with, some of which are mentioned once, then fade away into nothing. But Alexandre Lacazette is different. With Lacazette, there is something truly unique. He is so incredibly open about what he wants and what he plans on doing that the only speculation that is required from us is filling in the ‘where’ portion.

For the past three years, the French striker has been very open about his desire to leave.  He wants to test the waters outside of Ligue 1 to improve himself and rise up the ranks. Of the major five European Leagues, the French representation has to be the weakest, so it makes sense that he wants to try something new.

Even now, Lacazette is still openly releasing new details by the day. Just a couple of days ago, he let out another tidbit, giving hope to Gooners around the world.

"Is the Champions League a dealbreaker for my choice? No, but it is important. In making my choice, I will look at my position [in my next club], if there are not too many players, so I won’t be benched and I will be able to play."

Those were his words, as quoted by the Daily Mail. Meaning that Arsenal’s fifth place finish did not eliminate the opportunity to land the Frenchman. Lacazette has also said that a move to the Premier League is possible, but is still open to waiting for Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban to run its course as well.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Through it all, one thing remains certain that we should be absolutely thankful for, and that is that Lacazette is an open book, ready and willing to tell us everything we want and need to know about his future.

Arsene Wenger has already snagged Sead Kolasinac, who said he turned away numerous big European clubs, so the magic of Wenger is still there to attract top talents. He did it with Alexis Sanchez and with Mesut Ozil and he will continue to do it.

The true stroke of magic would be to land Kylian Mbappe or Antoine Griezmann, but it’s not like Lacazette wouldn’t have its glimmers. After all, this is a man who seemed fully against a team outside of Champions League play not all that long ago.
