11. Hector Bellerin

As if the Rob Holding injury wasn’t enough, Hector Bellerin compiled on it. Though Bellerin had much longer to remind us that he was, in fact, a massively improved young man with all the talent in the world.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

We didn’t need the reminder, but his month lay-off before his season-ending injury was all we needed to reaffirm how important he is to this club.

There were questions about Bellerin before this season, but I would have to think that they’ve since all been quashed. He has shown massive improvements on the defensive side of things, which was always the snafu with him. The attacking side is still there, it’s still strong, and his ability to play an actual straight-up fullback role makes him invaluable to a team that has no Premier League fullbacks.

Having him back will, as the saying goes, be like a transfer itself. Even in the half season that we had him, he showcased his tremendous crossing, his attacking brilliance and that aforementioned defensive improvement.

And he managed five assists in just 19 appearances, so yeah.

Andy (7), Josh (12)

Up and up, No. 10 coming.
