Arsenal now have strength in depth following a busy summer transfer window, which saw eight new players arrive through the Emirates entrance, including Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres. Judging by the impressive start to the season made by Mikel Arteta's Gunners, Andrea Berta got his recruitment spot on.
The squad is brimming with talent but this means some players may be playing for their futures. Some of Arteta's group are undisputed starters while others are waiting for an opportunity which might not be coming anytime soon.
Three players in particular could be the subject of speculation heading into the January transfer window. That includes youngsters who want more game time to further develop and more experienced heads who realise their time with the North London giants is up.
3 Arsenal players who might leave in January
Ethan Nwaneri
There was a huge sigh of relief among Arsenal fans when news broke that Ethan Nwaneri had put pen to paper on a new deal in the summer. His future was somewhat uncertain amid suggestions that he wanted assurances about first-team opportunities.
Nwaneri, 18, committed his future to the club by signing a contract which expires in 2030. But there are concerns over his minutes as he's been settling for a bit-part role off the bench so far this season.
The English wonderkid is one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the Hale End academy. That's why a loan could be beneficial in January so that he continues to develop and grow into the world-class attacker many expect him to become.
We've seen how loans can help launch the careers of youngsters such as William Saliba. The French defender headed back to France with Marseille and won Ligue 1's Young Player of the Year before forming quite possibly the greatest defensive partnership in Europe with Gabriel Magalhaes.
Ben White
There's no denying Ben White has been a success since arriving at the club from Brighton in the summer of 2021 for £50m. But injuries have been a real nuisance in recent times, and the English defender sat out a large chunk of last season due to knee surgery.
White, 28, now finds himself playing second fiddle to Jurrien Timber, and his chances of returning to Arteta's XI are slim. He'll either have to accept less game time or perhaps consider departing because the arrivals of Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie only further jeopardise his game time.
The Gunners could raise a significant sum of money by selling the versatile centre-back. His deal doesn't expire until 2028, but there's bound to be interest if he's in the shop window.
Gabriel Jesus
Arteta would be in dreamland if he were able to call upon Gabriel Jesus and rotate the Brazilian with Viktor Gyokeres. There's no disputing the enormous talent that the former Manchester City striker is, but the best ability is availability, and that's where he struggles.
Gabriel, 28, is currently sidelined with an ACL injury and isn't expected back until January. That might be when the club decide it's best if they part ways because his fitness troubles are a major issue that continue sto disrupt his Emirates career.
If Berta can find a viable replacement to rotate with Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, it should see Jesus bid farewell. He'll have a year left on his contract next summer, so there is slight pressure to make a decision over his future.
