Arsenal face Newcastle on Sunday afternoon as they continue their preparations for the 2025/26 season.

The Gunners started their pre-season in the perfect way when they were victorious in their opening game, beating AC Milan 1-0 thanks to a second-half goal from Bukayo Saka. They dominated much of the game and were the deserved winners at the Singapore National Stadium.

As Arsenal look to maintain their winning start to pre-season, there are three key talking points ahead of their meeting with Newcastle.


1. Back to the OG right side

With Jurrien Timber remaining unavailable due to injury, Ben White will likely continue at right back against Newcastle.

Playing in the role during the win over AC Milan, the former Brighton man impressed as he linked up well with Bukayo Saka to take Arsenal fans back to the brilliant pairing that featured heavily throughout the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

With the duo likely to start on the right flank once again, fans will get to see the pairing that worked brilliantly and offered so much together. Of course, this is probably only the case while Timber is injured, but could we be seeing a return to this partnership?
