Arsenal fans enjoyed that one. A handy 3-0 win, with new signings at the forefront.

It was also yet another clean sheet for the Gunners, who are yet to concede from open play in the opening four games of the season. Arsenal fans can credit Cristhian Mosquera for that one.

However, nobody can overlook the main storyline heading into this match. Ange Postecoglou was a surprise hire for Nottingham Forest in the week building up to this match, which set up a perfect storyline.

It was only last season that Postecoglou managed Arsenal's most bitter rivals, Tottenham. He vastly overachieved for the club and gave them something that no other manager could in a long time: a trophy.

Arsenal fans cooked Ange Postecoglou with brutal chant

It was a tough opening day for Ange Postecoglou, who will surely have something to say about his first game being a loss at the Emirates Stadium of all places.

Widely regarded as one of football's most likeable characters, Arsenal fans were having none of it. He was, unsurprisingly, the subject of some chants.

Throughout the match, Arsenal fans chanted "you're getting sacked in the morning" to Ange Postecoglou. It's quite obvious that one thing Forest and Tottenham have in common is expecting more than they're worth, so Postecoglou will have to overperform for Forest. He knows that, already making a joke about needing to win a trophy to warrant a second season at Forest.

This week, Ange said: "Yeah, of course I can (win a trophy this season). I might have to, to have a second year.”

The mockery didn't stop there. Arsenal fans had to poke fun at Tottenham, chanting "Are you Tottenham in disguise?" later in the match.

Arsenal fans had clearly done their research here, as Arsenal has lost just two of their last 10 matches against their North London rivals.

Look, Ange Postecoglou will hopefully have a better time at Nottingham Forest than he did at Tottenham. He's clearly got his eyes on trophies, so he's a better fit for the East Midlands outfit than Spurs.

Being a down-to-earth character, Ange will have soaked up the atmosphere and seen the funny side to Arsenal fans' chants. Being a winner, he will also be more focused on how Forest can improve next season.
