Arsenal have completed all of their summer business for 2026 and out of the 15 deals they sanctioned across the first team, four of those were incomings.
The Gunners prioritised strengthening their squad after ending a long wait to win the Premier League last season, but not every need was dealt with. Many fans feel that a marquee attacker was desperately needed, but the club didn't bring one in before Tuesday night's deadline meaning only a midfielder, winger, defender and a goalkeeper joined.
Just four players joining doesn't make for much of a transfers ranking, but we're going to try our best. Please note that while Mikel Arteta's side did technically make five new signings with the permanent purchase of Piero Hincapié, we've not included him as we already know how brilliant of an addition he is from last season.
Here's how we have rated and ranked Arsenal's four transfers in the 2026 summer window.
Arsenal's signings rated and ranked from worst to best
Illan Meslier - 6/10
Illan Meslier was a surprise signing on a free transfer after he left Leeds United at the end of the 2025/26 season. He failed to break into the Whites' team last term as they secured Premier League safety following promotion from the Championship.
The goalkeeper is set to be the Gunners' third-choice behind David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga and despite initial scepticism of his arrival, he looked decent in pre-season and him joining freed up Tommy Setford to spend the campaign away on loan as he looks to gain valuable experience.
He likely won't play much, if at all, but no one can deny that Meslier was actually a clever signing by Arteta and Co.
Ezri Konsa - 7.5/10
A 28-year-old England international with plenty of Premier League experience, Ezri Konsa's arrival at Arsenal was well received by many, but it also drew some criticism for what it could mean for other defenders.
With William Saliba unavailable through injury until roughly the Christmas period, the Gunners delved into the market to sign another defender, bolstering their depth and protection in their backline, and Konsa was the player they landed on.
While he is a great addition, Cristhian Mosquera is likely to suffer with most having the feeling that Kosna will be the first-choice on the right side of the central pair while Saliba continues his recovery. Regardless, the former Aston Villa defender will bring plenty to the Emirates Stadium and his experience will be needed well down the line in the season.
Bruno Guimarães - 8.5/10
The Bruno Guimarães seemed at points like it was never going to go anywhere, but Arsenal got their man as they signed him from fellow Premier League side Newcastle United for a reported £75million.
The Brazil international looks like he could be just what the Gunners need to keep up their full flow deep into the campaign. Declan Rice was completely worn out by the end of last season and with Christian Nørgaard as his backup, the Englishman was regularly made to play much longer than he should've to grind out results.
Guimarães' arrival means Rice will no longer need to be pushed to the limits as he is more than capable of taking his place, or playing alongside him, without taking too much quality out of the team. Added to that, the Brazilian's experience and leadership qualities will be absolutely crucial both on and off the pitch.
Christos Tzolis - 9/10
By far Arsenal's best signing of the summer, Christos Tzolis looks to be a bargain deal after joining from Club Brugge for just £34m.
The winger has looked brilliant in his opening games and despite a subpar performance in his side's 1-0 win at Aston Villa, he seems to be the first-choice left winger as the season fully takes off.
Brought in as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, Tzolis looks set to play the majority of the Gunners' games as their starting left flank option as the lack of another signing means he is the only out-and-out choice. It will be a huge ask of him to play at a high level for 50 to 60 matches this campaign, but he has already shown he can do it.
Not only one for the future, the 24-year-old has proven he can perform for Arsenal in the here and now.
