Every Arsenal deal from the 2026 summer transfer window

The 2026 summer transfer window closed on Tuesday night and it brought an end to Arsenal's business in the market for at least a few months.

The Gunners had yet another busy period, sanctioning 15 first team deals as five new faces arrived at the Emirates Stadium while 10 bid farewell to North London, either for good or on a temporary basis.

A quiet end to the window in terms of incomings saw fans rage that their club hadn't brought in a forward as consistently reported. Vinícius Júnior, Julián Alvarez and Malick Fofana were among the names linked with a move throughout the summer, but no deals materialised, leaving Arsenal without a significant marquee addition.

However, Mikel Arteta's side still got plenty of business done and finally showed their selling power by ridding themselves of a number of unwanted players. Here's every first team deal Arsenal sanctioned during the 2026 summer transfer window.

Incomings

Piero Hincapié: Techinally not a new signing as he initially joined last year, but Arsenal began their summer window by making Hincapié's loan from Bayer Leverkusen permanent. They spent a reported £34.5million to keep him at the Emirates for good.

Illan Meslier: Fresh off his departure from Leeds United, Meslier joined the Gunners on a free transfer and he is expected to operate as the club's third-choice goalkeeper for the 2026/27 season.

Christos Tzolis: Brought in as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, Tzolis signed from Club Brugge for £34m and he has already made a great impact with goal contributions in his first few games for his new side.

Bruno Guimarães: He has been a long-term target of Arsenal's and was regularly linked with a move before and after his transfer to Newcastle, but this summer saw it finally happen. He left the Magpies to join up with Arteta's side for £75m and is raring to go following a return from a minor injury.

Ezri Konsa: The man that proved to be the Gunners' final signing of the window joined as experienced defensive reinforcement from fellow Premier League side Aston Villa and coincidentally made his debut in Monday's 1-0 win over his old side.

Outgoings

Karl Hein: Having spent the last two seasons away from the club on loan, Hein secured a permanent exit as he joined Werder Bremen for £2.6m. He spent the 2025/26 campaign with the Bundesliga side.

Jakub Kiwior: Another loan turned permanent, Jakub Kiwior ended his three-year spell with Arsenal to sign for Porto after a successful temporary spell. His sale brought the Gunners £14.6m with a potential £4.3m in further add-ons.

Leandro Trossard: One of the saddest departures of this window, Trossard left the club to join Beşiktaş in the Turkish Süper Lig. He exited as a legend and a Premier League champion, bringing his former side a £17m fee.

Christian Nørgaard: His one year in North London came to an end as he signed for Premier League rivals Everton in a £7m move, but he left the club having provided some valuable backup when needed, as well as grabbing a league winners' medal during his spell.

Reiss Nelson: After failing to knuckle down a spot in the first team squad and two uneventful loan spells, Nelson saw his contract terminated in the final week of the window, allowing him to find a new club for free. He joined Feyenoord in the Eredivisie earlier today.

Fábio Vieira: He joined as a hot prospect in 2022, but Vieira never really got going at Arsenal. He spent the last two seasons away on loan and returned to Hamburg permanently on deadline day, earning his former club £8.6m.

Gabriel Jesus: One of the players who helped the Gunners show their potential from 2022 onwards, Jesus departed on deadline day to join La Liga champions Barcelona for an initial £8.6m. He failed to show his full worth while with the club, but he will always be remembered fondly.

Ethan Nwaneri (loan): His future with his boyhood club was incredibly uncertain throughout the window, but he secured an exit on a temporary basis on the final day. Nwaneri signed for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan with his parent team earning a fee of £4.3m.

Tommy Setford (loan): Meslier's arrival made it difficult for Setford to have a clear path to the first team so a loan away was the smartest move and he secured that as he joined Stevenage in the final hours of the window.

Gabriel Martinelli: His heartbreaking exit has not been officially announced just yet, but it is likely to come in the next few days. Martinelli has agreed to join Al Hilal, but the club are in no rush to sign him as the Saudi deadline isn't until 6 September.

Did Arsenal do all the business they wanted?

Arsenal went in to the window eager to strengthen the side that won the 2025/26 Premier League title and they did just that, but with one key piece missing. Every item on the agenda was ticked other than the addition of a marquee forward. Moves for multiple targets proved unsuccessful and that leaves the Gunners likely wanting to restart that search in January.

Outgoings were a huge success for the club however as they managed to offload a number of players from the wage bill, receiving decent fees in the process. Failure to sell has plagued the club for so long, but this summer showed they are capable.

Arteta's side should be happy with their summer business, but the elephant in the room must be addressed. A forward is badly needed so that has to be a priority in the winter transfer window. For now though, Arsenal can be pleased with what they did in the summer and should be ready to push on and continue their title defence.
