Arsenal are in midweek Premier League action on Wednesday night, as they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates.

This is the third meeting between the two London clubs this season, with Mikel Arteta's men prevailing in both. After a Gabriel Jesus hat-trick inspired the Gunners to a 3-2 victory in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, Arsenal won convincingly at Selhurst Park just before Christmas on what proved to be a fateful day in the club's season.

Crystal Palace were only recently one of the division's form teams, but they're winless in three and are destined for another mid-table finish. After losing 5-2 and 5-0 to Man City and Newcastle respectively, the Eagles earned a point at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Arsenal were majestic at Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon, cruising to a 4-0 win against the ten-man Tractor Boys at Portman Road. However, Liverpool's subsequent win at Leicester means defeat for the hosts in midweek will crown Arne Slot's side as champions.

Here's our preview of Arsenal vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Arsenal team news

Arteta opted for a strong starting XI on Sunday, and it'll be interesting to see how many changes the boss makes to his team on Wednesday with PSG's visit just a week away.

Bukayo Saka is fine despite Leif Davis' attempt to snap his Achilles, but the winger may find himself on the bench against the Eagles, while Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey, and Jurrien Timber could be back in the XI.

Riccardo Calafiori isn't yet ready to return, and Kai Havertz is also out of action. Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu won't play again this season.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Palace: Raya; White, Timber, Kiwior, Tierney; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Nwaneri, Merino, Trossard.

Crystal Palace team news

Chris Richards serves his one-game suspension on Wednesday night after he harshly picked up a pair of yellow cards in Saturday's stalemate with Bournemouth.

With the centre-back out, Jefferson Lerma could be utilised in Glasner's back three. Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne are experienced alternatives.

Summer arrival Chadi Riad has missed the entirety of his debut season, and Cheick Doucoure is also sidelined. Eberechi Eze was substituted at half-time against the Cherries, but there was no indication of an injury. The England international should start at the Emirates.

Predicted Palace lineup vs Arsenal: Henderson; Lerma, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Wharton, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace prediction

The Premier League title is out of reach, but Arsenal at least have the motivation of delaying the inevitable on Wednesday. If they can replicate their performance from Sunday, the hosts will have no issues dispatching a Palace team that's seemingly run out of steam.

The Eagles had been in tremendous form, but their most recent three results suddenly means they're playing for absolutely nothing in the Premier League during the final month of the season. Glasner has all his eggs in the FA Cup basket.

Thus, we shouldn't expect too many thrills on Wednesday. The hosts will be able to efficiently manufacture a victory, which means Liverpool can celebrate against Spurs on Sunday.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace
