Arsenal may well be in the market for a winger this summer, but if they want that winger to be Anthony Gordon, they may face a tough battle. The Gunners have an interesting summer ahead, whether they win the Premier League title or not.
This is a very strong Gunners squad, and it's not obvious to see where strengthening is required, perhaps outside the front line, with a new goalscoring striker perhaps required to provide better goalscoring competition to Viktor Gyokeres.

If Arsenal win the title, it is likely to be a case of touching up the squad with a little extra quality while replacing some fringe players who are likely to jump at the chance to become starters elsewhere.
But if the Gunners come up short again, there may well be questions over how much money Mikel Arteta gets to spend given he would be yet to deliver on the hundreds of millions that have been spent over the last few years.
Some believe the wing position could be strengthened this summer, and there are questions over the future of Gabriel Martinelli, while Leandro Trossard could move to become a bonified starter elsewhere.
The Gunners have had good competition there this season, but there are questions over whether they have enough wingers who are consistent in delivering top-level performances.
Arsenal face competition from Bayern Munich for Anthony Gordon
One winger who has been linked is Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, who has been tipped to quit St James Park after a sorry season for the Magpies. Gordon has scored 17 and assisted five so far this season, which is an excellent return for a team that is sat in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Gordon is tied down long term, and Newcastle certainly have the financial pull to keep him, but if a top club comes knocking, it's not ruled out that the player himself will push for a move.
Arsenal could fit into the category of club that could lure him away, but according to a fresh report, there is big competition. According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich are now eyeing Gordon, potentially linking him up with England teammate Harry Kane.
It's claimed Gordon and Hertha BSC’s Kennet Eichhorn are Bayern's key targets this summer, and as league champions who are one of the Champions League favourites, Bayern would certainly be a problem for Arsenal if the two sides were to vie for Gordon.
The report has also claimed that Gordon would be open to a move to Bundesliga this summer, but whether or not there is truth in that, a transfer is going to come to down to the money, and Newcastle will be asking a very high fee to sell one of their star players.
