Christian Nørgaard may not be leaving Arsenal just yet as he could be set to stay with the club for another year, according to HandofArsenal.
The former Denmark international has long been linked with a move away from the Gunners this summer despite only first joining the club a year ago, but that may not be the case now.
He has expressed his desire to remain in London for at least another year, meaning he may be set to remain as part of Mikel Arteta's squad.
Christian Nørgaard could stay at Arsenal for another year

Nørgaard joined Arsenal from capital city rivals Brentford for a £12million fee last summer with the intention for him to act as midfield backup for Declan Rice and Martín Zubimendi.
Despite his introduction as a secondary option in the middle of the park, his game time was very limited throughout the 2025/26 season as others sat well above him in the pecking order while Arteta showed a clear reluctance to use him in high-stakes situations.
The ex-Bees captain made just 20 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners, with seven of those coming in the league, but only totalling to 101 minutes of action, the most of which came in a final day victory at Crystal Palace after the title had already been confirmed.
While he was an important member of the full setup with his leadership abilities and experience likely proving crucial behind-the-scenes, it's clear he wasn't of much value on the pitch and that is obvious in Arsenal's transfer approach this summer.
Along with agreeing a deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge and targeting a move for Morgan Rogers, the Gunners reportedly hold an interest in Newcastle's Bruno Guimarães, a player of similar position to Nørgaard.
Bringing in the Brazilian midfielder would be a serious step up in quality from his Danish counterpart, but his arrival would be costly and may need to be funded by a sale of Nørgaard. However, if he wants to remain at the club for a further year, there will be an uncertainty surrounding any potential signings in midfield.
The Dane hasn't been short of suitors so far this summer with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth among the top sides showing an interest while clubs in the United Arab Emirates are also exploring a possible move.
He has also previously expressed a desire to return to former club Brøndby when he leaves the Premier League.
Despite the rumoured interest, Nørgaard is reported to want to remain in London for a further year, which would see him leave Arsenal upon the expiration of his contract if the option to extend another season isn't activated.
If he does end up staying in North London for another campaign, the Gunners must act to activate the extension clause to ensure they can recoup a fee for Nørgaard next summer rather than losing him on a free transfer.
