Erling Haaland is already on a war path with Arsenal for next season's Premier League title. The Gunners have ended a more than 20-year wait for their next Premier League title, with Manchester City's draw with AFC Bournemouth ultimately crowning Mikel Arteta's men.

Arsenal have been close so often in the last few years, but they have now finally completed the job, ditching the 'bottler' reputation so many other fans have saddled them with, and there is still a Champions League final with PSG to come.

Erling Haaland is on a mission

City will be disappointed to have come up short after rallying from behind to make it a title race, but they were ultimately too inconsistent this season, and their draw with Bournemouth was only the latest frustrating result, albeit the Cherries are a very good side.

Pep Guardiola is now bidding goodbye to City after a historic reign, and it's going to be interesting to see how City transitions to a new boss, and indeed whether they can hit the ground running next season.

City already has a top squad, and they are likely to replace the departing Bernardo Silva this summer. Such a strong squad will give the new manager a very good chance of competing for the title, and it's clear Haaland is confident in bouncing back with another title challenge.

“Every game in the Premier League is difficult, we tried, it wasn’t enough,” Haaland said in an interview with City Studios.

“The whole club should use this as motivation now. We should be angry, we should feel a fire inside our belly because it’s not good enough. It’s gone two years now, it feels like forever. We’re going to do everything we can, everyone that will be here next season, to win the league.”

Arsenal and City have been battling head-to-head for some time, but Guardiola did confirm he called former staff member Arteta to congratulate him after the title race drew to a close. A classy move.

Haaland, meanwhile, has his eyes set on next season already, and he remains one of City's most important pieces. The Norwegian won the golden boot again this season, and next season, he will want to make sure that's enought to win a league title.

Arsenal will have other ideas, although we don't yet know which areas they will look to strengthen as they look to stay one step ahead of City and others.
