Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka are the two Arsenal players who are both competing for the right-wing position with England. Madueke has given an insight into his and Saka's strengths.

At a press conference ahead of England's World Cup round of 32 tie with DR Congo, Madueke said, "I thrive in space, and he thrives in congestion."

With Saka still nursing an Achilles injury, Madueke started England's first game of the tournament against Croatia. In that game, contrary to what he said, Madueke was effective in tight areas as he won the penalty from which Harry Kane scored. Saka came off the bench in that game and played an excellent through ball for Marcus Rashford, who sealed the 4-2 victory.

Madueke also started against Ghana, but was unable to help England unlock the door as the match ended goalless. He was criticized for his performance, and Saka started the following match against Panama. Saka provided the assist from a corner in which Jude Bellingham scored the opener in the 2-0 victory.

Madueke does thrive in space, as he is an explosive runner who can take on defenders. Saka is very effective in tight areas, as he is strong and has excellent close control. However, there is more to each other's games than what Madueke has said.

Who will start for England on the right wing against DR Congo?

It appears that the Achilles problem may still be troubling Saka. Madueke still replaced him after 63 minutes against Panama. It appears that he cannot play a full 90 minutes just yet.

DR Congo's left-back is Arthur Masuaku, who is a Sunderland player but was on loan at RC Lens for the second half of last season. Many fans will also remember him for his time at West Ham United.

Masuaku is now 32, so it might be worth starting Madueke against DR Congo. Madueke's pace could cause Masuaku a lot of problems.

The African side has quite a strong defence, which includes Chancel Mbemba of LOSC Lille, Axel Tuanzebe of Burnley, and West Ham United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka. They will likely get men behind the ball just as Ghana did against the Three Lions. Saka could be a very good option off the bench in this tie. If nothing is separating the two sides at the latter stages of the match, then Saka could be the man to unlock the DR Congo defence in tight areas.
