Arsenal fans must be feeling pretty good about their squad.
Sure, the draw against Manchester City and the loss to Liverpool must sting a little bit - more than that, actually, but they are still second in the table at the moment.
They have got some tough games coming up, but also have a few relatively easy ones that they should be able to win.
Arsenal fans want silverware this season, probably more than ever, so it makes complete sense for the team to keep playing the way they are.
However, it does help one single talent that a few easy games are coming Arsenal's way.
Max Dowman is a ridiculous talent for Arsenal
Don't get me wrong, they are only sprinkled here and there, but Max Dowman must be licking his lips in excitement at the moment.
In the next nine games, Arsenal play Port Vale, Olympiacos, West Ham, Burnley and Salvia Praha. Those are games where Dowman could potentially play a few minutes here and there.
It is not just the games that would probably get him to be excited. I mean, that is a big enough reason, but they have had easy games before too. Why does this matter so much?
Well, because Noni Madueke, a signing from Chelsea for pretty good money, is now injured for the next couple of months, meaning that there will be some opportunities available for youngsters like Dowman.
Also, Ethan Nwaneri is a good example of having a player who can very well start games for a number of top teams, but has to take the slow approach with Arsenal.
Nwaneri can take up some of the minutes that Dowman would hypothetically be aiming for. However, it is fun to think about two young talents who have so much left to prove in football.
To be getting opportunities at a top club like Arsenal is no easy feat. Dowman and Nwaneri may be talented, but they have earned this place due to their hard work, resillience and the ability to put their head down and work.
Obviously, as with any young player, there will be growing pains, but Mikel Arteta would and should rather get them ironed out in these few matches, which would be good for both them as well as Arsenal.
It remains to be seen just how many minutes Dowman is able to play, but he is too good to be sitting on the bench for too long.
