With the semi-finals of the World Cup now set, there is only remaining one team that can stop an Arsenal player winning the tournament.

France and Spain will face off on Tuesday before England and Argentina clash the following day, and the lattermost nation are the sole country of the four teams not to feature a Gunner in their squad.

The reigning world champions will fancy their chances of overcoming the Three Lions in their semi-final meeting and if they do so, it will kill the opportunity for four of Arsenal's World Cup representatives to claim the prize.

Argentina are the only team without an Arsenal player left in the World Cup

Of the 15 Arsenal players that were called up to national teams across the World Cup, eight of those still remain, representing England, France and Spain as the competition enters its final stages this week.

Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke are preparing to give their all for the Three Lions in a last-four clash with Argentina while Mikel Merino, MartĂn Zubimendi and David Raya will all be ready to pull on the shirts of La Roja to face off against William Saliba and France in the other semi-final.

Despite being the reigning champions, Argentina have somewhat scraped their way through to this point of the tournament, having been taken to extra time by two of three opponents in the knockout stage, one of them being 67th ranked in the world Cape Verde, and also being forced to come from two goals down against Egypt.

Fans and the media are torn over who are the favourites out of Lionel Messi's side and the Three Lions, but Arsenal have shown their credentials as Premier League champions so far this summer, with their players among the best performing of any club.

The Gunners have left their top division rivals in the dust to this stage, with nine goals and 13 assists from their players throughout the tournament. None of their England representatives have found the net, but both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have provided assists.

Arsenal are guaranteed to have at least one player feature in the final and they should fancy their chances of seeing another join the seven Gunners who have previously won the World Cup while playing in the red half of North London.

Argentina will be aiming to become just the third country after Italy and Brazil to win back-to-back World Cups, but there is a hefty Arsenal contingent that will stop them doing so. However, Messi and his team could still thwart some more North London brilliance.
