Earlier today, Pain in the Arsenal reported on the Spanish press, which had claimed that Arsenal had struck an agreement with Joshua Kimmich to sign him on a three-year deal. While the agreement was only in principle and the two clubs are yet to enter discourse (so it's still in its early days), fans are understandably excited. Here is the potential Arsenal lineup with Joshua Kimmich...

This Arsenal lineup with Joshua Kimmich is absolutely perfect

GK - David Raya. Needless to say, David Raya will be the Arsenal goalkeeper for many years. Of course, Arsenal will meet his obligation to buy when his current loan deal expires this season.

  • Depth - Aaron Ramsdale (or most likely his replacement), Karl Hein

RB - Ben White. White will be the right-back of choice next season, since he has made the position his own and Mikel Arteta is clearly a big fan of him and everything he offers.

  • Depth - Jurrien Timber, Joshua Kimmich, Takehiro Tomiyasu

CB - William Saliba. The Frenchman is developing into the best defender in the world. Personally, I think he still has a way to go but he certainly has the capabilities.

  • Depth - Jurrien Timber, Jakub Kiwior

CB - Gabriel. The preferred centre-back pairing of choice for Mikel Arteta is Saliba-Gabriel. That's not a bad choice either since Gabriel has been the club's best defender this season.

  • Depth - Jurrien Timber, Jakub Kiwior

LB - Jurrien Timber. It is hard to imagine Jurrien Timber won't slot back into the starting lineup when he returns from injury. He will have to earn it but from what we've seen, he's the best option for Mikel Arteta.

  • Depth - Jakub Kiwior, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko
