Eddie Nketiah has undergone serious improvement in the Arsenal team. Particularly under Mikel Arteta, he has emerged into a solid squad player, with the quality honed to make an impact from the bench. However, it is understandable that the capped England international is still frustrated with the poor amount of game time he gets at the Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Nketiah was not involved in Arsenal's first game of the season, but this is likely because Mikel Arteta sees his future elsewhere. After all, Arteta isn't the type to purposefully withdraw Nketiah, he is a big fan of the Hale End graduate and always campaigns for his success.

However, with just over one week remaining in the summer transfer window, Fabrizio Romano has hinted that Eddie Nketiah could be on his way out.

Arsenal Transfer News: Fabrizio Romano has a sad Eddie Nketiah update

According to Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter), Eddie Nketiah has agreed personal terms to leave Arsenal and sign for Nottingham Forest. All that remains for the deal now is for Forest to agree personal terms with Arsenal, something that the East Midlands-based club are confident about. As things stand, Arsenal want £30m to sell Nketiah.

It will be sad to see Eddie go. The Hale End graduate gave Arsenal fans many memories, including when he scored at Stamford Bridge and when he scored a brace against Manchester United in the memorable 2022/23 season.

Nketiah has always played second-fiddle at Arsenal, though. It's a shame to see but it's through no fault of his own. He has developed at his own rate but he has always been in the shadow of other great strikers including Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

Now, Nketiah will look to make his mark at Nottingham Forest, providing club terms are agreed upon. It remains to be seen who becomes the new England manager but he will have aspirations of making the Three Lions squad more often, after making his international debut while playing for Arsenal.

How many goals do you think Eddie Nketiah can score in the Premier League this season?
