Eddie Nketiah could become Arsenal's most expensive sale ever

This summer will be the deciding point of Eddie Nketiah's Arsenal future. The clinical striker who has often had to make a name for himself from the bench could be on his way out of Emirates Stadium, if recent reports are to be believed.

According to HITC, Arsenal will make Eddie Nketiah available for a summer transfer and they are expected to generate £40m in revenue from his sale. This would make Nketiah overtake Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£32.4m in 2017) as the most expensive sale Arsenal have ever made.

Certainly, Nketiah would be a sad departure given that he came through the Arsenal academy and always shown a great commitment to the cause. However, it would be good to see him flourish in a starting lineup role elsewhere.

Arsenal revive their interest in Douglas Luiz

The last team Arsenal want to read about right now is Aston Villa but this story might excite Arsenal fans. It is expected that the Gunners will revive their interest in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer, since he was a January transfer target.

According to Football Insider, Mohamed Elneny is expected to depart the club this summer, while Jorginho and Thomas Partey have their futures up in the air. Therefore, there is at least one midfield role which needs filling and as far as Mikel Arteta is concerned, Douglas Luiz is the guy.

Boasting great Premier League and European experience with Aston Villa, Arsenal is the logical step-up for Luiz.

Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in Willian Pacho

According to Bundesliga expert Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal and Liverpool have expressed an interest in Willian Pacho, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt. The 22-year-old could be available for around €50-60m, according to Pletternberg.

In my opinion, this money is better spent elsewhere. Arsenal have two world-class centre backs already, so to pay such a fee for a backup seems excessive. A great player, sure, but Arsenal have more immediate areas of concern in their starting lineup.
