Arsenal welcome to the French champions to the Emirates on Tuesday night and Mikel Arteta's side are on the hunt for their first victory of their 2024/25 Champions League league phase campaign.

Arsenal's continental slog started with a respectable stalemate away at Atalanta less than two weeks ago, with the Gunners enjoying an unbeaten start to the new season across all competitions.

Arteta's men have endured a tough schedule and laughable red cards, yet the bookies regard the north Londoners as the favourites to win the Premier League title and they'll certainly fancy their chances in this competition despite the difficulty of their league phase fixtures.

PSG may have perpetual faltered in crunch time, but there's no denying their status as a behemoth despite Kylian Mbappe's absence. Arsenal have the chance to make a big continental statement when Luis Enrique's side come to town.

Here's how the Gunners could line up on Tuesday night.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - The Spaniard was the star of Arsenal's opening Champions League fixture in Bergamo, and Raya may be required to pull off a few more heroics on Tuesday night.

Jurrien Timber (RB) - I thought there may have been a route back into the team for Ben White, but the Englishman didn't train on Monday so we can assume he's unavailable for this one. Timber's duel with Bradley Barcola will be box office.

William Saliba (CB) - Saliba will encounter a few familiar faces against PSG, although Enrique could deploy Spaniard Marco Asensio in a false nine role as opposed to Randal Kolo Muani.

Gabriel (CB) - How long has it been since Gabriel scored from a set-piece? Two games and nine days it would've been by the time kick-off arrives on Tuesday. The Brazilian's due.

Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - There was a brief scare over Calafiori on the weekend with the exuberant full-back suspected to have picked up a knee injury late on against Leicester. Fortunately, he's fine and was involved in training on Monday. Fun, fun, fun.

Midfielders

Jorginho (CM) - We're not too far away from Declan Rice returning as the #6 with Mikel Merino closing in on a return, but the Spaniard won't be starting on Tuesday. So, it's going to be either Jorginho or Thomas Partey at the base against PSG. Let's go for the former, Mikel.

Declan Rice (CM) - Rice will be put to the test against a technically proficient PSG midfield that could run rings around Arsenal's engine room. However, the Gunners have the physical abilities to overwhelm their counterparts.

Kai Havertz (AM) - Merino could earn minutes off the bench, but Arsenal's third midfielder is likely to be Havertz. Arteta opts for greater pragmatism on European nights, and he loves utilising the German as his duel-winner in the middle of the park.

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - Saka on the big European night. Let's run it back.

Leandro Trossard (ST) - Trossard is going to get the nod over Gabriel Jesus given the respective forms of both players heading into the fixture. The Brazilian has struggled for rhythm, while Trossard continues to produce in the clutch.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - Fresh off scoring his first Premier League goal since March, Arteta should give Martinelli to chance to build on Saturday's performance. The winger often starred in the Champions League last season.
