Reiss Nelson has established himself in the history books at Arsenal forever. Although his last-gasp goal against Bournemouth in the 2022/23 season didn't amount to much overall, the memory of Arsenal fans jumping for joy and hugging complete strangers in the Emirates Stadium will last forever.

In truth, Reiss Nelson had a bumpy career until that point and even after that point. Despite always showing potential to reach a high ceiling, he has never been granted the minutes to prove himself. Being sent out on loan a few times, while nursing significant injury problems, didn't help his case either.

Now, Reiss Nelson could be sold this summer. It won't come as much of a surprise to Arsenal fans who wouldn't like to see him leave, but are anticipating it either way.

According to a report from talkSPORT, it is West Ham United who now lead the race to sign Reiss Nelson from Arsenal this summer. New West Ham coach Julen Lopetegui would like to improve his attacking options and he sees Reiss Nelson as the best option, particularly with his situation at Arsenal presenting a golden opportunity.

The rumoured valuation of Reiss Nelson is around £25million which by most club's standards would see incredibly low but by Arsenal's standards, it's a reasonable price to ask for.

After all, Reiss Nelson is somewhat of an enigma. Clubs know little about Nelson considering he has struggled to get a consistent run of games. Performances from the bench tell a manager little about a player, particularly in a system as fluid as Arsenal's is towards the tail-end of matches.

Reiss Nelson certainly has what it takes to achieve at a new club but unfortunately, he cannot be promised consistent minutes at Arsenal to facilitate his development.
