Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Como - Pre-Season Friendly

Arsenal end their pre-season campaign with a friendly clash against Como on Wednesday evening.

The Gunners are looking to bounce back after falling to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund in their last outing. Ethan Nwaneri and Viktor Gyökeres both got on the scoresheet, but their goals weren't enough as Samuele Inácio, Konstantinos Karetsas and Joane Gadou all found the back of the net to win Dortmund the Emirates Cup.

With all of his players now back in training, barring those who are injured, Mikel Arteta will be keen to field a stronger side, but will be wary of rushing his men back.

Here's how Arsenal could line up against Como.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Como (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - A World Cup winner with Spain, Raya will be eager to get back to business between the sticks after sitting on the bench for his nation during their successful tournament.

Ben White (RB) - With Jurrien Timber still battling injury, White should continue at right back and will be looking to build on his previous performances.

Cristhian Mosquera (CB) - Still looking to prove a point amid William Saliba's absence and Arsenal's interest in signing another defender, Mosquera will be the starter on the right side of the centre pairing.

Gabriel Magalhães (CB) - Back in full flow after starting against Dortmund, he should be ready to complete another 60 minutes or so against Como.

Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - Calafiori will be aiming to be his side's first-choice left back this season and he should start in the position as part of his bid to impress Arteta.

Midfielders

Myles Lewis-Skelly (CM) - Amid links with Chelsea and Manchester United, Lewis-Skelly will remain a starter in midfield as he looks to prove himself as a more than capable option in the squad.

Martin Ødegaard (CM) - Captain Ødegaard made his return against Dortmund and should start once again with the aim of playing at least one half after being brought off after 30 minutes last time out.

Kai Havertz (CM) - With Declan Rice likely to feature off the bench, Havertz will retain the left sided number eight spot for this clash.

Forwards

Max Dowman (RW) - The Hale End talent has been one of Arsenal's brightest sparks in a pretty dull pre-season and with his counterparts only just returning, he should start on the right flank once again.

Viktor Gyökeres (ST) - His performance against Dortmund wasn't incredible by any means, but Gyökeres should start up top once again as he looks to build on the penalty he scored on Saturday.

Christos Tzolis (LW) - Arguably the Gunners' best player of their preparations so far, new signing Tzolis will continue on the left as he looks to prove his worth as a starting candidate for the upcoming season.
