Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Noni Madueke has signed for Arsenal. The next step is for Arsenal to officially announce the signing.

If you were to gamble your life savings on one thing happening this summer, it would be Arsenal signing a player from Chelsea. It seems to be a pretty common theme, for better or for worse, so Arsenal fans essentially come to expect this now.

We can hardly blame Mikel Arteta for shopping close to home. After all, the catalogue of players at Stamford Bridge is pretty endless.

Besides, Arsenal fans can hardly complain this time, considering other signings are also in the pipeline.

Fabrizio Romano - Arsenal has signed Noni Madueke

According to Fabrizio Romano, Noni Madueke has signed a contract at Arsenal, which is valid until June 2030. The former Chelsea player will become a new Arsenal player and now, the only thing that's pending is for the Gunners to officially announce Madueke.

It remains to be seen when Arsenal will announce the Englishman. However, the anticipation is in the air, and it seems crystal clear that he will be the next announcement Arsenal makes.

In true Arsenal fashion, though, it wouldn't surprise us if Arsenal waited until deadline day to announce him. We don't have the quickest turnaround time with these things, after all.

Chelsea's loss is Arsenal's gain

Noni Madueke is an excellent ball carrier. In possession, he is surprisingly one of the best players in the league at dribbling. Casual fans may not recognise this, but it's certainly an element of Madueke's play that Mikel Arteta can benefit from.

The closest thing that Arsenal has to this currently is Gabriel Jesus. However, we all know that the Brazilian is on the treatment table more than he's on the pitch.

Madueke might not play a first-team role at first. His strongest position is occupied by Bukayo Saka, who is the clear first choice when fit. Nevertheless, this is a great addition, and certainly improves Arsenal's depth in the front three.
