Leandro Trossard has agreed new terms at Arsenal ending speculation that he will be leaving the Emirates this summer.
According to the Athletic's James McNicholas, the 30-year-old Belgian has reached an agreement with Arsenal on a contract adjustment. The deal increases the versatile forward's salary but does not extend his contract beyond 2027.
The salary boost will bring Trossard's salary more in line with players of a similar age and profile at the club. Prior to the new agreement, Trossard was being paid £175,000 per week less than Gabriel Jesus and £40,000 per week less than Mikel Merino. At 30-years-old, it's easy to understand where Trossard is coming from.

Trossard has become a target for Arsenal fans who have become obsessed with buying Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze, despite Arsenal already having two left-wingers at the club –f our if you include both Reiss Nelson and Noni Madueke.
The player has been described as a target for Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Brentford. German Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund were also reported to be interested in signing the 30-year-old. If Arteta wanted to sell Trossard, you get the feeling that he would already have done so.

Arteta values Trossard highly - rightly so
Mikel Arteta clearly values Trossard. The Belgian's impact since joining for £27m from Brighon two and a half years ago has been impressive without being sensational. Last season alone, Trossard contributed eight Premier League goals and seven assists; Gabriel Martinelli registered eight and four respectively.
As far as left-sided forward's go, Neither Trossard, nor Martinelli could match the level set by Luis Diaz in 2024/25. Diaz scored 13 times and registered five assists in Liverpool's title winning season.
In contrast, amid all the calls for Arsenal to sign Eze, the main man at Crystal Palace scored exactly the same number of Premier League goals as Trossard last season, despite playing more minutes, as per fotmob.com.

Trossard hasn't downed tools or spat his dummy out over contract
Before fans jump on the anti-Trossard bandwagon, it's easy to understand the player's motivation for wanting a better deal.
Unlike Alexander Isak at Newcastle United, there has been no suggestion of Trossard downing tools or spitting his dummy out. Trossard has remained a mature professional through negotiations.
Contrary to hyperbolic fan reaction, there is no reason to doubt Trossard's ability to contribute well to Arsenal's title challenge.
However, having picked up a groin injury in the pre-season match with Spurs, Trossard has missed out on a full pre-season. He will need to be given time to catch up with others in the squad who are four or five pre-season matches and weeks of training further ahead of him.
Improving Trossard's contract will prove to be a smart deal. As the season wears on, and the mid-week games come thick and fast, Arsenal will need players they can rely on to put in a decent shift. Leandro Trossard is one of those players. Despite the negative over-reaction on social media, Trossard remains a great squad player and this is a smart move.
Arsenal have not 'dug themselves a hole' they have arguably dug themselves out of one by keeping a valued player happy at the club.
