Bukayo Saka was forced off with a hamstring injury in the 5-0 win over Leeds, and now we know how long No. 7 will be sidelined for.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was forced off early in the second half of the Gunners' 5-0 win over Leeds at the Emirates with a hamstring injury, and the BBC reported that both his and Martin Odegaard's injuries weren't long-term ones.

But we still didn't know the gravity of the injury, and with the Gunners' gauntlet of Premier League games coming up, which include Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle, Mikel Arteta needs all his stars firing.

But given that Odegaard was in a sling post-game and Saka was withdrawn early, there is a fair chance that both will miss time; it is just a question of how much.

For Odegaard, it is thought he will return quicker than Saka due to his shoulder injury, and with Bukayo's history from last year with his hamstring injury, the club will be cautious in its approach.

Arsenal learn Saka injury fate

Hamstring injuries can be a funny thing to get a gauge on.

Some are a week, maybe two, or others like Saka last season, can see players miss months as the recovery timeline isn't an exact science.

We now know that Saka will be sidelined for three to four weeks, which rules him out of the entire early-season gauntlet the Gunners have to face.

This is why the club invested in Noni Madueke, kept Leandro Trossard around, and right now, hasn't sold Gabriel Martinelli. All three will be tasked with covering for Saka, and we can throw Ethan Nwaneri into the mix as well.

The Gunners have gotten off to a good start in the league, winning their first two games and keeping two clean sheets, but Arteta and Co. will have to go to Anfield without Saka and possibly Odegaard too.

But at least Saka isn't lost to the club for months, three to four weeks is manageable.

However, it still isn't ideal.
