9. Arsenal’s 5-1 Win Over Inter Milan

It was Inter Milan’s biggest defeat ever across all competitions at the San Siro, and it was inflicted by Arsenal.

More from Arsenal All-Time Lists

The Gunners hit the Nerazzurri for five in their second encounter in the group stage of the 2002-2003 Champions League season. Thierry Henry was undoubtedly the star of the game, with the Frenchman scoring a one-touch strike on a pass back from Ashley Cole.

Freddie Ljunberg added a second on a pass from Henry, before Henry himself scored the game winner to secure the win for the Gunners. It was a great response considering the damage Inter inflicted on Arsenal just two months earlier, when they recorded a resounding 3-0 victory over them at Highbury in the first installment of the campaign.

To top of the win, the Arsenal away fans serenaded the team with an altered version of “One-nil to the Arsenal” by singing “five-one in the San Siro” at full time.
