The Athletic just named six players not called Martin Odegaard on Arsenal's for-sale list

It does not appear that Martin Odegaard will be leaving Arsenal this summer.

There has been speculation that Martin Odegaard's time at Arsenal could be coming to an end. However, it has not been reported by a reliable source that the Arsenal captain is for sale.

The Athletic has revealed "Arsenal remain keen to engage in player trading this summer. They are open to offers for the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Christian Norgaard and Fabio Vieira. Others — such as Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard — could also be available for the right price."

Odegaard led Arsenal to the Premier League title and the Champions League final last season. However, individually, he had a poor campaign. He struggled with injuries and scored just once with eight assists in 36 games in all competitions.

Morgan Rogers has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal recently. If the England attacking midfielder joins from Aston Villa, then it could really limit Odegaard's game time at Arsenal. However, Odegaard is reminding fans what he can do at the World Cup. He has gotten an assist in both of Norway's group stage victories so far.

Where could the for-sale Arsenal players end up?

Jesus missed the first half of the season with a cruciate ligament tear. Vikto Gyokeres is now Arsenal's main striker, which has left the Brazilian surplus to requirements. Despite his injury problems, Jesus is still being linked with big clubs including Atletico Madrid and AC Milan.

Norgaard has struggled for game time since joining the club. He was linked with Ajax in January, but there has not been much speculation so far this summer as to where he might end up.

Vieira was on loan at Hamburger SV last season. He has been linked with other German clubs, including Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen. There are also reports that Nottingham Forest could take a chance on him.

Nwaneri's loan to Olympique de Marseille did not work out last season. Borussia Dortmund, who have a track record of developing young English players, could be a good option for him.

Some big clubs are interested in Martinelli. This includes the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and RB Leipzig. The Brazilian scored just one Premier League goal last season, but was effective in the Champions League, where he found the back of the net six times. He is also only 25, which is why he is still in demand by top European teams.

Trossard is now 31, and it appears that his time playing at the highest level could be coming to an end. The Belgian has been linked with the Saudi Arabian side, Al-Diraiyah. There is also interest from Turkiye, with Galatasaray, Besiktas, and Fenerbahce all reported options.
