Arsenal have now completed the signing of Brentford captain Christian Norgaard, according to the Athletic's David Ornstein, with fans now awaiting the official confirmation by the club.
Having pushed for a deal last month, the Gunners have agreed to pay their London rivals a fee of £10million with a potential £2m in bonus add-ons. The Denmark international has already undergone a medical.
With Arsenal looking to continue to bolster their midfield depth, Norgaard will be a perfect signing and is expected to be announced as the newest member of Mikel Arteta's squad by the end of this week.

Following a seemingly slow start to the summer transfer window, Arsenal have ramped things up over the past week. The club confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga before making the long-awaited announcement that Martin Zubimendi had put pen to paper.
Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta remain busy in the transfer market as they close in on a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting while also negotiating moves for Cristhian Mosquera, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, among others.
However, despite all that effort in other areas, Norgaard is expected to be the Gunners third summer arrival, with the club reported to be announcing the signing by the end of the week, possibly in the next 48 hours.
While Arsenal's main focus has been on bringing a top-quality striker to the club this summer, signing Norgaard has proven to be a smart move. The Gunners found themselves in need of midfield reinforcements, even after the signing of Zubimendi, and the Dane should be able to provide that.
With plenty of Premier League experience, a wealth of quality as a leader, and simply being a cheap option, Norgaard should be a good signing for Arsenal as they look to provide Zubimendi with decent cover in his position.
He won't be a big-money spend like his Spanish counterpart, but his experience in the top flight will see fans expect him to perform well and there is no doubt he will do so. It's now only a matter of time until we see Norgaard in the famous red and white of Arsenal.
