Arsenal became a title-winning team this season, and this was thanks to their recruitment last summer.

Arsenal notably had to recruit a center-forward last summer. This was seen as the missing piece between the Gunners being runners-up and title-winners in the Premier League. They did this by signing Viktor Gyökeres, but Mikel Arteta recruited well elsewhere, too.

Every Arsenal signing of the 2025 summer ranked from worst to best one year later

8. Christian Nørgaard

Christian Nørgaard was a highly rated player at Brentford. However, since joining Arsenal, he has disappeared off the radar. He made just seven Premier League appearances this season. He could be in for a swift exit from the Emirates Stadium, with Ajax reportedly interested in him.

7. Kepa Arrizabalaga

Kepa Arrizabalaga was once considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. However, he was signed from Chelsea to be David Raya's backup. He has been a solid cup keeper as well, helping the Gunners reach the EFL Cup final. He made just one Premier League appearance, which came on the final day against Crystal Palace.

6. Cristhian Mosquera

Cristhian Mosquera has been a good option for Mikel Arteta in defence. He has been able to fill in at center-back and right-back. At 21 years old, the signing from Valencia has huge potential.

5. Noni Madueke

There was even a petition from a section of Arsenal's fanbase against the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea. However, on the whole, he has proved his doubters wrong. In 42 games this season, Madueke has scored eight goals and provided four assists. He also got the winner against Crystal Palace on the final day to ensure the Gunners lifted the trophy with a victory.

4. Eberechi Eze

Eberechi Eze became an Arsenal legend straight away as he was signed from under the noses of Tottenham Hotspur. It was a great story as Eze was released from Arsenal's academy and has gone full circle in arriving back at the club.

Eze then went on to score a hat-trick and a brace against Tottenham in each of their Premier League ties this campaign. In total, the forward scored 10 goals with six assists in 53 games in all competitions this season.

He did have a run of 11 Premier League games without a goal involvement. The man who scored the winner in the FA Cup final last season would have wanted to have been more consistent for the Gunners.

3. Piero Hincapié

Piero Hincapié has only been on loan at Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen this season. However, surely Arteta would want to make him a permanent addition. He has been a great option for Arsenal at center-back or at left-back.

2. Viktor Gyökeres

Gyökeres was never going to be as prolific for Arsenal as he was for Sporting CP, as English soccer is much tougher than the Portuguese league. The striker has still managed 21 goals, with three assists in 54 games this season.

Supporters will want more goal involvement from Gyökeres, but this was a solid first season. He can only build on this, and Arsenal finally have a top striker on their books. What is important is that Gyökeres has managed to stay fit throughout the season. Arsenal's other striking options, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, are injury-prone.

1. Martín Zubimendi

Martín Zubimendi is quite underrated as he plays alongside Declan Rice, who has also been outstanding this season. The signing from Real Sociedad provides balance, which allows Rice to get forward. However, Zubimendi has still managed six goals with three assists in 56 games this season. The defensive midfielder starts many of Arsenal's attacks and has been a mainstay in Arteta's side.
