Here is a full list of the Arsenal transfer targets in the current 2025 January transfer window, according to different publications.

Arsenal will hope to be active in the 2025 January transfer window. Since they head into the window within a shot of the Premier League title race, the Gunners will hope to strengthen their squad in January.

Mikel Arteta always has Arsenal's best interest at heart. He takes his role as the manager sincerely and as the former captain, has every ambition to achieve great things as the coach.

Of course, it is likely that a few players will leave Arsenal in the January transfer window. It is not only a case of welcoming new players in but due to squad balance and staying within those annoying rules, the Gunners will also consider letting players leave.

Nevertheless, we are naturally more excited by which players might come in. Therefore, let's run through the full list of Arsenal transfer targets.

1. Nico Williams

Arsenal fans won't be surprised to see this name listed here. After all, Nico Williams has been an Arsenal transfer target for a long time now.

Considering his £50m release clause, it is understandable why Arsenal are yet again linked with a move for Nico Williams. After all, this release clause is well within their budget.

In the past, Nico Williams has shown plenty of loyalty to his beloved club Athletic Bilbao. Despite interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world including Arsenal and Barcelona, he remains a winger there.

Therefore, there are understandably question marks about whether Williams would be eager to leave Bilbao in the middle of the season.

However, given Arsenal's squad needs at the moment, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them try. Williams would be the perfect signing for Arsenal in January.

2. Alexander Isak

One of the more desirable but less realistic options being thrown around is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. Much like Williams, Isak loves his club and would perhaps be unwilling to leave part way through the season.

Before the January transfer window opened, Isak claimed that he wanted to stay at Newcastle if they qualify for the Champions League next season. He doesn't see the need to move away in order to return to the Champions League.

Nevertheless, Isak is one of those players who you cannot accept rejection from. Arsenal might feel the need to push to sign Isak, who is one of the best strikers in the Premier League right now.

3. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Yet again, this feels like deja vu, doesn't it?

Arsenal have signed many players from Chelsea in the past. Unfortunately, most of them in recent history have not been fruitful.

Well, according to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal are willing to try their luck with yet another Chelsea player. Indeed, Arsenal had become the favourites to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the January transfer window.

KDH was signed by Enzo Maresca in the summer transfer window, following him from Leicester to Chelsea. However, Maresca cannot justify starting Dewsbury-Hall, which is awful for the player who has gone from first-team football to squad rotation at best.

Current Team Analysis

Arsenal have one of the best squads in the world. Mikel Arteta has certainly instilled his own vision on the club, with only a handful of players remaining at the club since before he joined as manager.

At the start of the 2024/25 season, Arsenal have been hit with a few injury concerns. Most notably, they have lacked consistency in the full-back positions, since Mikel Arteta has been rocked by a few injuries here.

As it stands, Arsenal's best player Bukayo Saka is sidelined. Mikel Arteta revealed the devastating blow that the Arsenal star-boy would be missing for at least a few months, missing the start of the calendar year. Therefore, Arsenal might wish to sign a right-winger.

It is also worth noting that other than David Raya, there are no Premier League-ready goalkeepers at Arsenal. Mikel Arteta tried (but unfortunately failed) to replace Aaron Ramsdale in the summer transfer window by signing Neto. Therefore, backup to Raya might be on his priority list.

Financial Considerations

Arsenal are never predicted to spend an extortionate amount on a single player. In fact, they are often reserved with their spending.

Therefore, fans do not expect to see Arsenal go out and spend over the odds in January. This is particularly the case when we factor in that the January transfer window is typically quieter than the

That said, according to Sami Mokbel, Arsenal are well within the Profit and Sustainability Rules guidelines. Therefore, they are able to spend money in the January transfer window.

Fans and Experts Opinions

Naturally, the discourse is surrounding Arsenal's attack. The Gunners have been criticised for struggling to bring in a reliable goal-scorer for some time now, so fans are calling for this to be the case.

As per Sami Mokbel who is an Arsenal expert, Mikel Arteta will be prioritising a new attacker to sign in the January transfer window. This has been accelerated by the unfortunate Bukayo Saka injury blow.

In addition to signing a replacement for Bukayo Saka, Arsenal will look to sign a new centre forward. This, without a doubt, is an exciting transfer aim for fans to lick their lips about.
