We've done it! We've actually gone and done it.
This is not a drill. There is no catch. You can fully believe it now. Before you ask, no, VAR cannot intervene with trophy wins. Not if we celebrate loud enough, anyway.
Courtesy of Bournemouth getting a result against Bournemouth, Arsenal have won the Premier League a week in advance. Heading into the game, Man City needed to win to bring the Premier League title race to the final day.
Of course, this result massively helps Arsenal. They were favourites to win the Premier League anyway, but this result ensures they have done it without a nervy ending day.
Make no mistake about it, though. The narrative isn't that Bournemouth handed Arsenal a Premier League title. Bournemouth handed themselves a shot at European qualification, while Arsenal won the Premier League on their own accord.
Here are three moments that won Arsenal the Premier League trophy.
3. The moment Arsenal proved they could handle pressure
This result often goes overlooked, but Arsenal beating Newcastle 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium last month was the turning point which made fans, and players, start to believe again.
Before Arsenal hosted Newcastle, they were in a poor streak of form. They had won just one game in six appearances across all competitions, and the pressure was on.
After losing to Man City in the previous Premier League game, Arsenal needed to win every remaining game, and that started with a tricky match against Newcastle.
The pressure was on, and Arsenal won the game 1-0. In previous seasons, that almost certainly wouldn't have happened, but that 1-0 was enough to inspire a run of great form from the Gunners.
2. Avoiding complete humiliation to a rock-bottom team
Wolves have only won three games all season, and they are rock bottom of the Premier League table.
It seems crazy to say, but that number could have easily been four, and Arsenal might have been one of the teams beaten by Wolves.
Back in December, Arsenal hosted Wolves and it took until the 70th minute for the Gunners to break the deadlock. Sam Johnstone scoring the own goal gave the Gunners the lead, but they conceded to Tolu 20 minutes later.
Mosquera scored the winner for Arsenal, but hilariously, it wasn't even Arsenal's Mosquera. It was Yerson Mosquera's own goal (yes, another own goal) that gave the Gunners the win deep into injury time.
It was during a time where Arsenal were benefiting from a plethora of own goals. Right now, it feels like a distant memory, but little did we know at the time that those own goals would add up and leave Arsenal in a position to win the Premier League title.
1. The defining moment that won Arsenal the Premier League
As mentioned earlier, there was a point in time when Arsenal and Man City were neck and neck. At that point, it was a straight shootout between the Gunners and the Citizens.
However, Arsenal held their nerve in the title race, and Man City didn't. It would have been easy for Man City to take some momentum from that win over Arsenal, and vice versa for the Gunners.
Look, we'd be remiss not to mention the win over West Ham, where a late VAR overruling prevented West Ham from drawing level.
It was the right call, and every rational fan knows it. However, the pressure was on Arsenal in that game, and it was on them heavily. Especially after Leandro Trossard scored to put the visitors ahead, West Ham, who were fighting relegation, had everything to fight for.
But Arsenal held their nerve, and thanks to a spectacular captain's performance from Martin Ødegaard, both on and off the ball, Arsenal players kept their heads.
It was a heart rate-raising, adrenaline-inducing, edge-of-the-couch sitting game. But that's how Arsenal does it. It wouldn't be an Arsenal match if fans were relaxed throughout.
Well, in the least Arsenal way possible, the final day of the Premier League season will be the time to put your feet up. Arsenal have done it! They are champions now, for the first time since The Invincibles. The Premier League title is theirs, and we can enjoy the only game ever where the pressure is not on Arsenal.
What a journey it's been. Did someone say Champions League...?
