Iliman Ndiaye just sent a clear transfer message amid Arsenal interest

Iliman Ndiaye has rejected interest from Al Hilal amid links with Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Everton winger has turned down a move to Saudi Arabia despite big money being offered in favour of remaining in the Premier League, where the Gunners await as a potential summer destination for the Senegal international.

Mikel Arteta remains keen on signing a left winger this summer and Ndiaye is reportedly on his list, with his decision to reject a Saudi transfer a boost in any potential move by Arsenal.

Iliman Ndiaye rejects Al Hilal move amid Arsenal interest

The Gunners' interest in Ndiaye was first revealed by Ben Jacobs last week as their hopeful pursuit of Real Madrid's Vinícius Júnior slowly came to an unfortunate end.

Speaking on the Latte Firm podcast, Jacobs said: "I heard the other day that Iliman Ndiaye is a player that Arsenal really like. He’s rejected a contract proposal at Everton for now & Al Hilal are working on that deal, maybe they’ll pull it off, but Arsenal are one of the clubs that made an enquiry."

With Ndiaye since rejecting the stated interest from Al Hilal, the possibility for Arteta's side to make a move for him has just become slightly more realistic.

Having already signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge following Leandro Trossard's exit to Beşiktaş, the Premier League champions are still keen to add another left winger to their ranks with Gabriel Martinelli's future remaining very uncertain.

Arsenal were exploring an ambitious move to sign Vinícius from Real Madrid, but their pursuit swiftly came to an end after he signed a new contract to keep him in the Spanish capital until 2032, prompting them to look elsewhere.

Ndiaye is one of the players the Gunners like and his decision to reject Al Hilal and stay put in the Premier League could make them formalise their interest in signing him. There is a likelihood he wants a move away from Everton this summer after rejecting a new contract offer.

He joined the Toffees from Marseille in July 2024 and impressed in his debut season, netting 11 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions, including a penalty against Arsenal in April 2025. Ndiaye's return was slightly disappointing in his second campaign however, scoring just six times and assisting three in 34 games.

That hasn't stopped the Gunners taking a liking to him though and they could face a decision whether to formalise their interest before the window closes, but they will likely continue to explore other left wing options too.
